The power of pure passion

👋 It's been a couple of weeks since I was last here. In that time I have had busy family time at half term, but also busy work time in my day job. In taking a short break here, what I have come to realise is that it is so easy for me to write about what I'm truly passionate about. That seems obvious, but it really is true.
Whitlingham Country Park has been a part of my life for nearly three years and I have been lucky enough to be involved there for almost three years. Since the wonderful new website sprang into life, I have been writing a regular, usually weekly, blog for visitors and locals alike.
Immersion is powerful
The more time I spend at the park, the more I understand the very fabric of the space and feel increasingly connected to it.
I have been lucky to have been heavily involved in bringing many of the recent projects, both major and minor, into fruition. That brings a sense of ease and familiarity when I come to write the park's blog for the 'news' page. It also helps that I have the content and knowledge right up my sleeve.
Some of the projects are ones I have been solely responsible for, others I have been on the periphery, and some I have just heard about with great excitement from other staff or volunteers - who are also a passionate bunch. Each one is a joy to convey to the growing readership.
Inspiration all year round
The other magical thing about working in nature, although I sit in the office the majority of the time, is that no day is ever the same. That aspect brings similarities to my previous career in teaching, of course, however nature has a far less stressful effect on my soul!
With my multi-faceted role at the park, there is never a dull moment and always something to talk about. Environmental topics, wildlife, development projects, volunteers, events... so much goes on in one park.
Translating the passion to any project
You may be thinking, why is she harping on about her work at Whitlingham? How will that help her work for me? Well, I am one of those people in life who easily feeds off the passion of others. If you share your vision and passion with me, I will get right on board and share that passion in what I bring to you with my words.
Recent feedback about my Whitlingham blogs was that I have "a very digestible writing style." Good to hear 😊

I'll bring a heady mix of excitement and meticulous focus on your project. Just let me know what you need and we'll make it happen with a sprinkle of joy on top!
